My Name is John Merrick

I absolutely loved how today went. First of all thanks to Mr. Treves, my life has completely changed. I can now be seen by people and be seen as a person rather than a freak. I felt like a normal person, and I was able to read a script with the famous Ms.Kendal. The highlight of the day was that she gave me a kiss, it gave me hope of ever being normal and gave me the feeling that everything was okay. I think that everything will be much better from now on and I really am looking forward to it.

Undeserved Misfortune

A movie that I have seen that shows a lot of undeserved misfortune is the movie "The Fault In Our Stars". This movie shows a lot of undeserved misfortune because it starts of with the protagonist whom has cancer and meets a boy whom survived cancer or so they thought. She falls madly in love with him as well as him with her. He allows her to meet one of her favorite authors and it turns out to be a waste of time since he treated them crucial. They move on from this disappointment but later on as things seem to get better, the boy seemed to had gotten cancer again. The boy tried to keep it a secret as long as he could since he didn't want his girlfriend to get sad, however everything comes out to the surface. He soon dies of cancer and everything they went through is left as just memories. This movie had me in tears through out most of it and kept me very intrigued.

I have witnessed a lot of undeserved misfortune towards my mother. She unfortunately was diagnosed with breast cancer a week after her decision with my father was to divorce and move separately. She had two surgeries and through it all, had a lot of visits to the doctor and no ability to work. Our money went down to the point where me, my little brother, and my mother had little food to eat. We were thankful enough to have a roof over our head. One day she got a call that she still had cancerous cells in her breast tissues, and was going to need once again another surgery. That same night, we got a call from Mexico that her father had passed away. She rushed to the airport and tried to buy a ticket to the next flight not caring how much money she'd owe, but thought clear once she was there. Flying wouldn't be safe for her health since she had just came out of surgery not that long ago. Fortunately, things get better with time, and now she has overcame cancer, we have gotten stable with our money, she has come to accept her fathers passing, and her and my father have come to good terms.

I think that a good idea for film contains a lot of undeserved misfortune because it makes the audiencee have a sense of sympathy for the main character.

My Film Job

The film job that I am most interested in doing in this film is the job as a screenwriter. I think I would be the best person for this job because I get along with computers very well and type very quickly. This can make the job easier and faster to get on with the rest of the movie making such as . I also think I can bring all people's ideas into one great  screenplay. I have been told that I have a good way with words and being able to convey my message of the actors feelings or thoughts through a couple of words because after all "show it, don't say it" right? I know how big of a job this is because I know it all consists and works around the screenplay. I think that me being in this film as a screenwriter will strongly benefit the production of the film at the end.

Conflict

One of the movies that I have watched that has a lot of conflict is the movie The Call. The Call consists of a teenager who gets stolen in the mall by a maniac. The story is seen through different views on how the call to 911 was done and how the girl has to cooperate to get to safety. This can be a conflict that can happen in real life to actual people. This tragic scenario can give lots of conflict because it has a lot of turns and twists on to the climax. This is what made the movie so good because just when you think something is going good, yet more problems seem to come. It shows conflict to when the girl gets taken, when the 911 receiver gets too attached, when the girl tries escaping and gets caught, and overall much more!

One of the conflicts that I have had in real life started of with a medical condition which overtime turned into something much more. Towards the end of 10th grade I got an anxiety issue which causes me to constantly be running to the restroom. I have always been a person on top of my academic success keeping only A's or B's, yet as this seemed to happen I only got worse. My level of concentration has lowered, and having to catch up and rush my classwork has helped lower my grades. Staying after school or staying for tutoring is a hassle since I feel much safer in the comforts of home and just want to leave home once the day is done. It's just a conflict I've had to deal with for about 7 months now, but to every conflict there's a solution, I hope.

I think that a good idea for a film would be something that contains a lot of conflict because it will keep the viewer intrigued and have emotions to the movie whether its fear or sadness.
